I read somewhere that we are going through the Golden Age of Indian Cinema. It wasn’t the 60s and 70s which was the golden age – but it is now. I would fully agree with that. The fare we have out there is brilliant. Script is king. We dont have fights, rape, too much of melodrama etc. But yet the message comes thru so effectively. Songs are very soulful and very appropriate.
Mumbai Meri Jaan – is no exception. There are 5 sub plots which are loosely intertwined around the train bombings. Its more about the people of Mumbai than about the terrorists. The two which stood out amongst the five are the one about the retiring policeman (Paresh Rawal) and his subordinate – and the other sub plot is about Soha Khan and her travails by the media.
These two sub plots are very good and stand out. Paresh Rawals acting is BRILLIANT. I would rate the movie at 4.5 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to others.

The movie sites these days are so well done with flash and all. This one is a tad incomplete – but still good.
